1. Playa Escondida

Playa Escondida is the first secluded beach we would recommend for solo travelers. Playa Escondida is a truly beautiful secluded beach located in Fajardo, and it is really secluded.

You cannot access this beach by car. Instead, you must hike for around 30 minutes to reach this beach.

This beach is truly breathtaking, but a huge part of the beauty of this beach comes from the journey that you have to take to get there.

To reach Playa Escondida you will need to hike for around half an hour through the forests of Mangroves. The beach offers golden sand, and the crystal clear sea, and it is truly peaceful, unlike some other beaches in Puerto Rico.

If you are looking for a beautiful secluded beach to visit during your trip to Puerto Rico, we recommend spending some time in Playa Escondida.

2. La Playuela (Playa Sucia)

Another truly special beach you should check out while in Puerto Rico is La Playuela, also known as Playa Sucia.

La Playuela is located in the Cabo Rojo area of Puerto Rico and is one of the best beaches. But because of its secluded nature, it is a bit of a hidden gem, as many people aren’t up for the journey it takes to get there.

One of the best things about La Playuela is its interesting beach, which is circular. It is cut off from the surrounding beaches and extra special as there is a mixture of golden sand, luscious water, and greenery too.

There is so much beauty to be seen on this beach, and you would miss out if you didn’t visit it during your trip.

This beach is totally isolated, and that is what makes it so great. With views that are truly breathtaking and incredible weather, there’s no question why so many people visit La Playuela during their trip to Puerto Rico.

3. Playa Colora

If you plan on exploring the Seven Seas Cove area of Puerto Rico, you should visit Playa Colora.

Playa Colora is a little-known beach in this area, and it is much less crowded than the other beaches in this area. It is a true-hidden wonder and a place you must see to appreciate truly.

You might be wondering how a beach this beautiful, so close to some of the best beaches in Puerto Rico, can stay hidden, and there’s a simple answer to that.

Large black rocks border Playa Colora on either side of the beach. These rocks shield it from view, so you would never think of visiting this beach unless you know it is there.

The sand on the beach at Playa Colora isn’t golden as you would typically expect for a Puerto Rican beach. Instead, it has an orange tinge, which makes it even more beautiful.

There is nothing quite as peaceful as watching the clear blue waves roll up on the beach of Playa Colora, which is why you need to pay this beach a visit on your solo travels.

4. Playa Punta Soldado

Another hidden wonder in Puerto Rico is Playa Punta Soldado. This beach is special, yet not many people know about it. That is why you typically won’t find too much information about this beach online.

This beach is really different from the others that we have looked at so far, and that is because it isn’t a sandy beach. Instead, Playa Punta Soldado is a rocky beach that is fairly difficult to find.

There is quite a long walk to reach Playa Punta Soldado, so you must be physically fit to reach this beach. However, the walk will be totally worth it once you reach the beach.
